Why was it so important to celebrate Universal Children’s Day in Egypt?
Mohamed El Koossy, Managing Director of Active PR & Marketing Communications who came up with the idea of celebrating Universal Children’s Day in a way that put the Children first, is very outspoken about children’s rights issues. As a father himself and through his work with UNICEF, Rotary International, and other (self-initiated) charitable events, he has become an expert on combating the various dangers faced by Children everyday. Unfortunately within Egypt, even today, injustices against children can be witnessed everyday in the form of child labour, homeless, neglected and abused children etc. “We need to acknowledge and defend the basic right of every child to be a child” says El Koossy.
Reporting from UCD 2005 at Ormaan Park: we're glad to say it was a FUN FUN day!! |
